O IDE parece ótimo, mas não é livre.

Então compensa eu baixar o IDE NetBeans 6.5 ou o Eclipse PHP IDE né.
Eu vou baixar os dois pra ver.

Vá de Eclipse, o Netbeans 6.5 ainda está no beta e bugado. Talvez os daily builds estejam melhores, ou até que exista suporte para PHP via plugin pro 6.1.

Ei galera, eu baixei o Eclipse PHP e o NetBeans 6.5 pra PHP porém eu ainda não instalei, qual dos dois seria bom, é pra um colega meu que gostou pra caramba de php e começou a aprender sózinho, porem ele ta se matando no DREAMWEAVER.

Acho que o eclipse seria melhor né??? Se for, eu ainda tenho que baixar algum plugin pra ele??? ou é só instala-lo no pc???

Atualmente uso o PHPEclipse, tentei usar o PDT, mas nao consegui encontrar uma versao que tava funfando. Todas as versoes que baixei estava faltando algumas dependencias.

Então véiu, o que eu baixei tem esse nome aqui ó: pdt-all-in-one-1.0.3-win32

Antes de instalar esse PHPEclipse, eu tenho que ter o Eclipse GANAMEDE instalado???

Bom, eu baixei a opção a).

Caramba, pra baixar o PHPEclipse tem que ter o Eclipse na máquina.

Baixa o EasyEclipse for PHP e o XAMPP. O easyeclipse já vem prontinho, só instalar e usar. O XAMPP traz o resto: PHP, Mysql, Filezilla Server… Olha o q já vem na pacoteira!

Realmente o último beta não esta bom ainda, porém tenho usado os últimos builds e eles estão com uma qualidade muito boa. Estou com o do dia 04/10/2008 sem problemas até agora. O próximo que irei fazer o download é o do dia 13-14 quando vai ocorrer um code freeze e depois dia 21, data prevista para o primeiro RC.

Dreamweaver é um lixo, rs

O Zend Studio eu já usei , é ótimo, mas usei crackeado em casa.

Para uso profissional existem ferramentas free que são muito boas tmb,

Olha, o Zend Studio eu acredito que só seja bom, se usado com todos os produtos Zend como Zend Platform, Core, etc.

Os melhores que usei foram, na ordem: Nusphere PHP IDE (http://www.nusphere.com/), PHP Edit (http://www.phpedit.com/), Netbeans 6.5 PHP.

Atualmente uso o PHP Edit pois ele tem suporte nativo ao framework PRADO.
E O Netbeans parece ser uma IDE bastante promissora também para PHP.
